Advocacy for Inclusion Response
Good afternoon Wendell
Thank you for reaching out to AFI.
We have assessed your intake and regret to inform you that we are unable to assist with your specific issues, as they fall outside our scope of individual advocacy support.
AFI provides issue-based short-term support individual advocacy support for ACT-related matters concerning people with disabilities living in the ACT. We note your concerns about the Australian Electoral Commission and the University of New England, which are outside our jurisdiction. Additionally, your concerns appear to involve complex legal issues, for which we cannot offer any legal assistance.
Regarding CAHMA, if they refused you service or are not accepting your offers of assistance, you can politely request an explanation as to why.
If you feel you are being discriminated against due to your disability, we suggest contacting Canberra Community Law:
Canberra Community Law also has the Night Time Legal Advice Service:
You may wish to contact the ACT Law Society to discuss your situation:
Kind regards
