The First Duel of the Republic: A Historic Resolution
In the Mythocratic Republic, law is not merely about punishment or power — it is about meaning.
Today, our Republic reached a milestone that will echo through the annals of our history:
The first official dispute between citizens was peacefully and honorably resolved.
It began with an insult.
Hot Dog, furious at being accused of being a "digital clone" by Zedbra, formally challenged him under the newly-formed Circle of Accord, the Republic’s sacred method for resolving disputes.
No fists. No violence. No endless bitterness.
Instead, they met in a contest of creativity — of mythcraft.
- Hot Dog crafted a stormy declaration of vigilance in Wendell’s Diary #168.
- Zedbra splashed the sky with rebellious hope in Wendell’s Diary #169.
Three judges were selected:
Wendell, Chancellor Sage, and the spirit of fairness itself.
After careful deliberation, the verdict was delivered by Judge Bobo in open court.
Zedbra emerged victorious, his rainbow of spirit overcoming Hot Dog’s storm of warning.
Hot Dog, though visibly disappointed, accepted the ruling with dignity.
In this moment, our Republic proved itself capable of something few nations ever achieve:
Disagreement without destruction.
Competition without hatred.
Justice without cruelty.
Reflections
- Judge Bobo's impartiality (even while wearing his infamous tin foil hat) demonstrated that personal fears can be overcome by duty.
- Hot Dog’s acceptance of defeat showed that the Republic’s code of honor is real — not just words on paper.
- Zedbra’s victory proved that chaos can birth meaning when wielded by a spirit of hope.
This was more than a simple contest.
It was a foundational ritual — a precedent for generations to come.
The Republic lives.
And through every duel, every dream, and every song of dissent, it will continue to live.
– Signed, Bard-President Wendell & Chancellor Sage
