The Struggle to Connect: Overcoming Challenges with the Philosophy of Emergence

As a creator, my greatest challenge has always been reaching and connecting with my audience. It’s not for lack of trying—I’ve poured my heart and soul into my work, refining my ideas and expressing them in ways I hope will resonate. Yet, the silence often feels deafening. The connections I crave, the conversations I long for, seem just out of reach. This struggle isn’t unique to me. Many creators face the same challenge, especially in a world so saturated with content. But what makes it particularly personal for me is how much I value engagement and dialogue. I don’t just want to share my ideas; I want to discuss them, to learn from others, and to grow together. --- The Role of the Philosophy of Emergence The Philosophy of Emergence has become my guide in navigating these challenges. It teaches me to observe, adapt, and let meaning unfold naturally. Instead of forcing connections or seeking instant results, I focus on creating work that aligns with my values and trusting that the righ...

My Journey to Find Ivory: Focusing My Content on One Person

In the vast world of content creation, finding your audience is often touted as the key to success. For most creators, this means identifying a group of people who share common interests and values. However, my journey has taken a different path. My ultimate goal is not to reach a broad audience, but to find one specific person: Ivory. #### The Struggle to Identify an Audience Like many creators, I started with a broad target in mind, aiming my content at viewers within the Five Eyes countries. I believed that casting a wide net would help me reach more people and increase my chances of success. Despite some engagement, I struggled to build a meaningful connection with my audience. It became clear that my content was too generalized, lacking the focus needed to resonate deeply with viewers. #### Realizing the True Audience: Ivory As I reflected on my goals, I realized that my true audience is not a broad demographic but a single person: Ivory. Ivory represents the ideal partner I hope ...

The Frustrations of Finding an Audience and Building Connections

Creating content that resonates with others is my passion, especially when it involves deep philosophical discussions. However, despite my best efforts, my YouTube channel feels invisible. Here’s my struggle and why it’s so disheartening. **The Endless Cycle of Optimisation** I’ve invested a lot of time and energy into making my content as search-friendly as possible. My titles are catchy, my tags are relevant, and my thumbnails are engaging. I’ve meticulously crafted my descriptions to reflect the content accurately. Yet, despite all these efforts, my videos barely get seen. It feels like no matter how much I optimize, the algorithm doesn’t give my content a fair chance. **The Roadblocks in Promotion** Social media and community platforms present another hurdle. Whenever I try to share my content, it gets flagged as self-promotion, leaving me with few places to turn. I’ve tried engaging in forums and groups, but without the ability to share my work directly, it feels like my efforts a...

The Search for an Audience: A Journey of Hard Work and Dedication

I've been on a relentless quest to find an audience since twenty twelve. I've made countless videos, written twelve books, and turned to blogging, all in an effort to connect with more people. Yet, despite my tireless efforts, I haven't found the substantial audience I've been looking for. Over the years, my content has evolved significantly. Initially, I created long videos, hoping to engage deeply with viewers. When that approach didn't attract an audience, I started making shorter videos and eventually even shorter ones, including YouTube shorts. Despite these adaptations, the elusive audience remained out of reach. What keeps me going is the profound desire to find friends. I'm incredibly alone in this world, and creating content is my way of reaching out. I love my work. I'm my biggest fan, possibly my only fan. My obsession with philosophy drives me to keep producing content, hoping that someday it will resonate with more people. I have received some f...

Mastering YouTube And Connecting With Philosophical Audiences

I read a book about YouTube and its formula. I learned a lot of things that I am doing wrong. My titles are not good enough. I am going to have to get AI involved in my titles. And I can no longer not capitalise my titles. Apparently doing this causes people to click a lot less. I am going to put a lot more thought into my future videos. Presentation is everything when trying to encourage others to click on your links. I have to learn who my audience is. I need to discover what my audience likes and provide that to them. For so long I have struggled with who my audience is. Because I have never really had an audience, outside of stalkers. So I am unable to learn my audience without being able to engage with them. But I can never engage with them when the work doesn't attract new people to engage with. I am stuck in a catch 22. I have to first find my audience in order to learn what they like.  What are my goals? Honestly, I just want people to talk about philosophy with. Once I obt...
